While we are excited to begin a new school year, our hearts are heavy as we deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and the tornado that ripped through our community last week. We are working with our district PTOs/PTAs and are ready to support them in any way we can. If you would like to contribute to a fundraiser to support the relief efforts in the affected schools, please send your donation via Venmo to @TFES-PTO with the note “UD Strong donation”. Welcome back! A new school year is beginning and it brings the promise of new friendships, experiences, challenges, and learning. We are looking forward to an exciting year as your PTO Board. While this year still doesn’t look like a “normal” year, and we as volunteers may not always have access to the building, we still have lots to do!
This year, we have moved our opening day packet to a new online platform! RunPTO.com will be our hub for the PTO, Parents, Committees, Volunteers, and Events. It will also be the platform that hosts our Student Directory. Please note that access to Directory Spot expires on 9/15. RunPTO.com is an easy-to-use platform that does require “membership” for easy access. Membership is $5 and includes the Student Directory! Our PTO Volunteer Form is included in the RunPTO.com membership signup. Please consider volunteering for one or more committees. Please note that these events are subject to change based on COVID-19 precautions. We appreciate your flexibility! There are opportunities to fit every schedule – you can choose something that can be done from home or even chair a committee! If you have any questions about our committees, please reach out to a board member.
Our first PTO meeting will be held on Thursday, September 23rd at 7 pm online. A link will be provided closer to the date. All parents are welcome to attend our meetings, and we look forward to seeing you!
